About the Role:
We are seeking a Waste Water Operative to join our team working on our United Utilities contract based out of Leyland, Preston, covering their North West network.
You do not need to have experience in the field as training will be provided. What we are looking for is the right attitude to learn and progress within a growing company!
- Location: Leyland
- Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 6am-4pm with a paid lunch). Overtime also available at time and a half.
- Salary: £32,500 per annum

- Due to work needs you may be required to assist on other contracts within Sapphire Utility Solutions
Responsibilities - but not limited to:
- You will be working closely with a Waste Water Operative to clean, camera and carry out sewer investigations as directed by United Utilities
- Attending to customers, informing them of works to be carried out and answering any concerns as well as timescales
- Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could hinder water flow
- Assisting with all aspects of high pressure water jetting
- Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
- Assist with CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
- Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry purposes
- Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with company procedures
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing of high-pressure water jetting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order.
Requirements for the role:
- Drivers licence is mandatory with no more than 6 penalty points
Desirable:
- Experience is desirable however if you're looking to start your career within utilities full training will be offered.
