We are seeking a reliable and professional <PERSON> driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various destinations in the Lisburn and Belfast area, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting our logistics and warehousing operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial van, to deliver goods across designated routes.
- Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch and clients.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times.
- Assist in warehouse tasks as needed, including stock organisation and inventory management.
- Report any vehicle issues or delivery discrepancies promptly to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience with warehouse operations and heavy lifting is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple deliveries.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating responsibility and punctuality.
- Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of driving or standing. This position offers a vital role within our logistics team, requiring dedication, professionalism, and excellent driving skills to ensure smooth operations across all delivery routes.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
