Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bank Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to residents within our care home and during home care visits. This flexible role offers the opportunity to work on an as-needed basis, ensuring residents receive personalised care that promotes their wellbeing and independence. Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility, respecting individual care plans.
- Support residents with meal preparation and feeding as required.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents’ quality of life.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided in accordance with organisational policies.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
- Support with medication administration under supervision, adhering to prescribed protocols.
- Assist during home care visits, ensuring residents' needs are met in their own homes.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to coordinate care needs.
- Contribute to a positive environment by demonstrating professionalism and empathy at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately.
- Proficiency in IT systems used for documentation and communication purposes.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals.
