Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
- Develop and implement innovative menu items that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering their development within the culinary field.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards before serving.
- Assist in managing kitchen budgets and controlling food costs effectively.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar leadership role within a care home or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and best practices in food production.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to create menus that cater to various dietary requirements and preferences.
- A passion for cooking with an eye for detail and presentation.
- Previous experience in team management is essential, alongside a commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment.
