SEN Teaching Assistant
The school has two sites based in Withington and Longsight where you will be required to travel to either school at any time. This is a rewarding but demanding role within a specialist setting. The successful candidate will work closely with students who have complex special educational needs, requiring patience, flexibility, and strong behaviour-management skills.
About the Role:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and achieving their individual learning targets.

Support the social, emotional, and behavioural development of children, promoting confidence and independence.

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning and support plans.
Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:

Experience working in primary school
-
All candidates must be Level 2 Team Teach trained or willing to complete the training

Previous experience supporting children with SEND

A nurturing, patient and proactive approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
An enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one

References covering the last 24 months
