Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Early Years Practitioner with a minimum Level 3 qualification in early childhood education or childcare. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and wellbeing of young children within our nursery setting. Duties
- Plan, organise, and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 0-5 years.
- Support children’s emotional, social, and physical development through positive interactions and guidance.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that complies with all health and safety regulations.
- Observe and record children’s progress, sharing insights with parents and team members regularly.
- Assist in the organisation of daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and outdoor play.
- Foster inclusive practices that respect individual differences and promote equality within the nursery.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and contribute to team meetings and planning sessions.
- Uphold professional standards of behaviour, communication, and confidentiality at all times.
- Occasionally support transportation needs by driving when required, ensuring compliance with relevant driving regulations.
Experience
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Childhood Education recognised within the UK.
- Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or preschool setting.
- Demonstrable management skills with the ability to lead activities and supervise junior staff or volunteers effectively.
- Strong leadership qualities with an aptitude for motivating team members and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in managing behaviour positively whilst maintaining a nurturing approach.
- Knowledge of current early years frameworks, policies, and best practices in childcare.
- Desirable: Driving licence for transportation duties; experience working within diverse settings; familiarity with safeguarding procedures. Pay: £24,420.00-£41,690.92 per year
