Chef de Partie
Stanwell House, Lymington
Stanwell House is a 27-bedroom independent boutique hotel in the heart of Lymington, on the edge of the New Forest. Our restaurant focuses on seasonal ingredients, strong presentation and consistent standards within a busy but well-structured kitchen.
We are looking for a capable and reliable Chef de Partie to join our team.
The Role
You will run your section confidently during service, ensuring dishes leave the kitchen to a consistent and high standard. You will support the wider team and help maintain a calm, organised kitchen environment, even during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes to specification and presentation standards
- Take ownership of your section during service
- Support junior chefs and kitchen porters where required
- Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Monitor stock levels and minimise waste
- Assist with menu development and daily specials where appropriate
- Communicate effectively with the Head Chef and Front of House team
About You
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, or a strong Commis Chef ready to step up
- Confident running a section within a busy kitchen
- Good understanding of food safety and kitchen organisation
- Calm under pressure and able to work efficiently during service
- Reliable, professional and committed to high standards
- Takes pride in consistency, presentation and attention to detail
