Are you a strategic problem solver with deep procurement experience and a passion for food? At M&S Food, we’re looking for a forward-thinking, commercially minded Senior Buyer to join our high-performing Raw Materials team.
In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the centralised sourcing strategy for key raw materials across the business, building strong supplier partnerships that deliver quality, innovation, value and availability for our customers. You’ll work cross-functionally across all M&S Food categories, ensuring our sourcing plans are robust, future-fit and aligned to wider business goals.

What you’ll do

Define and deliver the category strategy for a portfolio of key raw materials

Lead contract negotiations and benchmarking to drive commercial value

Identify and manage supply chain risks, ensuring resilience and continuity

Build collaborative supplier partnerships that unlock innovation and growth

Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver aligned, end-to-end sourcing plans
Who you are

Proven experience in strategic sourcing or procurement within food or FMCG

Strong commercial competence with confident negotiation skills

Deep understanding of raw material markets and supply chain dynamics

Track record of delivering cost savings and strategic category plans

Strong partner engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels
