Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Commis Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will support the kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, assisting with food production, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Support senior chefs in food production, ensuring timely delivery of quality meals
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to throughout the kitchen operations
- Manage stock levels, assist with inventory checks, and report shortages or issues promptly
- Serve dishes efficiently to guests when required, maintaining excellent customer service standards
Experience (preferred but not essential)
- Experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Familiarity with kitchen safety procedures and food hygiene standards
- Experience in team management and working collaboratively within a busy kitchen environment
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving procedures, and customer service excellence
- Previous roles involving culinary experience, hospitality service, or similar fields are highly desirable
