Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Part-time Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patrons, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring all drinks are prepared to the highest standards. This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry while balancing other commitments. Previous restaurant or bar experience is advantageous, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards
- Serve food from the kitchen to customers in a timely manner
- Greet customers warmly and take their drink and food orders efficiently
- Ensure all drinks are served safely, adhering to food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area throughout shifts
- Manage cash register operations and handle payments accurately using basic maths skills
- Restock bar supplies as needed and assist with inventory management
- Provide excellent customer service, engaging with patrons to enhance their experience
- Follow all health and safety policies, including responsible alcohol service and recognising intoxication signs
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or similar roles is preferred but not essential
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly and approachable manner
- Good organisational skills with effective time management to handle busy periods efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
- Flexibility to workhours to meet the needs of the business, including evenings and weekends
- Able to manage time efficiently when lone working
