Key Responsibilities:
- Extensive experience working with children, being able to look beyond their emotional and behavioural difficulties and the presentation of complex behavioural needs developed through childhood trauma and attachment disorders.
- Demonstrates an extensive knowledge and understanding of all current regulation and legislation relating to children’s residential care, including Regulation 44 and 45, with the ability to apply them effectively into their working practice.
- Good knowledge of the Social Care Common Inspection Framework and its recent amendments.
- A person who can demonstrate their awareness and passion to safeguard children, not only in their day to day life but has the ability to confidently risk assess and plan their care, promoting the child’s needs alongside their views, wishes and feelings.
- A proven track record in the nurture and development of a staff team, ensuring that they have clear vision and goals.
- Has strong values and beliefs, showing honesty, integrity, and good character always.
- Evidence of experience working in liaison with multi-disciplinary teams and within a therapeutic model of care.
- Experience managing a team and supporting the development of a staffing team in a challenging work setting
- Ability to participate in an out of hours on-call system

What We Require from a Registered Manager:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children
- At least 2 year in a role supervising and managing staff
- NVQ Level 3 In Children and Young Peoples work force or be willing to work towards this
- LEVEL 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or be willing to work towards this
- A “Good” or “Outstanding” grade within your recent Ofsted/CQC Inspections
- A clean driving licence
- Ability to commute to Bexhill
Working schedule:
Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00 with the ability to be flexible and work outside of these hours on occasion for business needs and, cover an out of hours on-call rota
