We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across a range of secondary schools throughout the Monmouthshire area including Caldicot, Chepstow and Abergavenny. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with young people and want to make a positive impact in education.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to provide tailored support within the classroom. You may support individual pupils, small groups, or whole-class activities, helping students to engage with learning and develop confidence and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting students with their learning and classroom participation
- Assisting pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND requirements
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting student wellbeing
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver effective support
- Helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Providing academic and pastoral support where required

- Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
- A positive, patient, and supportive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
