Overview
The Armed Forces Community Peer Navigator will provide compassionate, trauma-informed support to veterans and members of the armed forces community across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast. Using their own experiences, they will build trust and support individuals to access services, including housing, healthcare, employment and community support. The role focuses on reducing isolation, overcoming barriers, and empowering people to build confidence, resilience, and independence through a non-judgemental approach.
In this role, you will help people access relevant services, deliver peer support groups and outreach sessions, and promote the organisation within the community. You’ll adopt a person-centred, trauma-informed approach, working flexibly to meet individuals where they are, while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality.
You will collaborate with partners and team members, contribute to awareness-raising and training activities, and ensure accurate record-keeping and data capture. This is a rewarding opportunity to empower individuals, strengthen community connections, and support meaningful change within the Armed Forces community.
