Job Title: Mobile Forklift Engineer
Salary: £35000 - £45000
Overtime x1.5
Location: Leeds
Shift: 39 Hrs (Mon-Fri Days)
Mobile Forklift Engineer - The Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Mobile Forklift Engineer to join our growing service team. The role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing diesel, gas, and electric forklifts at customer sites across Devon.
You will respond to breakdowns, carry out routine servicing, and ensure all work is accurately recorded using a PDA system.
Mobile Forklift Engineer - Key Responsibilities
- Attend customer sites in response to reported breakdowns
- Diagnose faults and identify required parts and labour
- Carry out repairs and routine service inspections
- Service and maintain customer forklift fleets
- Record work completed, parts used, and time spent via PDA
- Complete job sheets, service sheets, and parts requisitions accurately and in full
- Ensure correct authorisation is obtained where required
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and comply with site protocols
Mobile Forklift Engineer - What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as an engineer
- Forklift qualifications
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on diesel, gas, and electric forklifts
- Good understanding of general H&S legislation
- Full UK driving licence

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service and commercial awareness
- Ability to identify parts required and liaise with parts department
- Good time management and self-planning skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
