Duties
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Support senior chefs in food production, ensuring timely delivery of meals during service periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Contribute to the presentation of dishes, ensuring they meet aesthetic standards
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure ingredients are available for daily operations
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and uphold high standards of hospitality and service
- Follow all health and safety procedures diligently, promoting a safe working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the hospitality industry
- Relevant kitchen or culinary qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends and evenings
