Waste Management Solutions (WMS) is an established and growing waste management broker, delivering cost-effective, compliant and sustainable waste management solutions to businesses throughout the UK.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an ambitious New Business Sales Executive to join our commercial team.
This is a 100% new business field sales role, focused on identifying, developing and securing new customers. There are no existing customer accounts to manage, allowing you to concentrate entirely on generating opportunities, building relationships and winning new business.
You will be responsible for managing the complete sales process, from prospecting and cold calling through to presenting solutions, negotiating contracts and supporting the successful implementation of new customer accounts.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven sales professional who enjoys the challenge of winning new business and wants to be rewarded through an uncapped commission structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through self-generated leads, networking, referrals and cold calling.
- Identify and approach prospective customers within your designated territory.
- Arrange and attend face-to-face customer meetings and site visits.
- Understand customers' waste management requirements and provide tailored, cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare quotations, proposals and service agreements.
- Negotiate commercial terms and successfully close new business opportunities.
- Manage and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through the company CRM system.
- Maintain accurate records of customer activity, quotations and sales opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new customers.
- Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs.
- Produce accurate monthly sales reports for the Commercial Manager.
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role as required by the Commercial Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Proven experience in a B2B new business sales role.
- Experience of managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing.
- Experience of working towards and achieving sales targets.
Desirable
- Experience within the waste management, recycling, environmental services or facilities management sectors.
- Knowledge of waste legislation and recycling services.
- Experience using CRM systems.
