As a Facilities Specialist at Royal Stoke Hospital, you'll be the go-to expert for technical support and maintenance across equipment, building systems, and utility services.
Join Sodexo and be part of something greater. You belong in a team where you can act with purpose and thrive in your own way.
What You’ll Do:

-
Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
-
Safely operate, maintain, and repair plant and equipment across a PFI hospital site.
-
Diagnose faults, including complex issues, and carry out high-quality reactive and corrective works.
-
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, HTM standards, and contractual requirements.
-
Support engineering management by meeting response times, maintaining documentation, and ensuring service delivery targets are achieved.
-
Use CAFM and BMS systems to monitor performance, report data, and manage maintenance activities.
-
Collaborate with teams, provide technical support and training, and participate in out-of-hours call-out rota as required.
-
Comply with all health and safety, hygiene, and statutory regulations, including COSHH and fire safety.
-
Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
What You Bring:
-
Fully qualified Electrician with 18th Edition (BS7671); 2391 Test & Inspection desirable.
-
Recognised electrical apprenticeship with C&G, BTEC or equivalent qualification.
-
Proven, hands-on experience within the electrical trade in a maintenance environment.
-
Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and repair skills across plant and equipment.
-
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
-
Experience with UPS and generator backup systems (mechanical maintenance experience desirable).
-
2391 Test inspection preferable
-
Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to remain calm and effective under pressure with strong problem-solving ability.
-
Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations, IT systems (including BMS), and excellent communication, report-writing, and numerical skills.

-
A positive, initiative-taking approach—able to work independently or as part of a team.
