We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to menu specifications and quality standards
- Assist in the organisation of the section to ensure efficient service during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients to ensure availability of necessary supplies
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to at all times
- Collaborate with the head chef and other team members to develop new recipes and menu items
- Serve dishes promptly, ensuring presentation meets established standards
- Assist in training new staff members on kitchen procedures and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hotel environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation
- Demonstrable understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is advantageous but not essential
- Formal culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are preferred but not mandatory
