Eligibility: This position is funded by Skills Development Scotland. Due to funding requirements, this specific opportunity is open to applicants aged 16–19 years.
This isn't just a "job" it’s a fully funded Modern Apprenticeship designed to take you from a beginner to a qualified Early Years Practitioner in just 12–15 months.
The Opportunity:-
● No Experience? No Problem. No academic entry requirements are required, we look at your potential. Every applicant is assessed at the interview stage based on their passion and personality.
● The Qualification: You will work towards an SCQF Level 7 (SVQ Social Services: Children and Young People) with dedicated support from Carousel Training Centre.
● Hands-on Experience with an Employer: Work daily with children from babies to pre-school age in a Private Nursery or an Out of School Setting .
● Expert Mentorship from Carousel Training: Monthly training classes and 1-to-1 support from a professional Assessor.
● Professional Growth: Become a fully qualified practitioner with a nationally recognised qualification.

What you’ll be doing:-
As a valued member of the nursery team, you will:
● Help create a safe, joyful, and educational environment for little ones.
● Support senior staff in delivering creative play, messy arts, and outdoor activities.
● Assist with daily routines including snack prep and personal care (feeding/dressing).
● Learn the "why" behind child development and how to track a child's progress.
● Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding and care.
