We’re a family-run transport company with over 40 years of experience, proudly based in Wakefield. Thanks to continued growth and new contracts, we’re expanding our team and looking for Class 1 HGV Tramper Drivers to join our trusted crew.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Driving nationwide across the UK
- Nights out (tramper work)
- Manual loading and unloading of cargo
- Securing goods to prevent damage during transit
- Operating Class 1 HGV vehicles safely and efficiently, in full compliance with traffic regulations
- Keeping your vehicle clean, roadworthy, and reporting maintenance needs promptly
What We’re Looking For
- A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work under pressure
- Good knowledge of the UK road network (ideal but not essential)
- Polite, courteous, and professional approach
- Physically fit and dependable
- Flexible with working hours and overnight stays
- A team player with strong communication skills
- Good literacy, numeracy, and fluent spoken English
- Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain high driving standards
- Willingness to take responsibility for vehicle cleanliness and cargo security
Experience preferred but not essential – full training provided across all aspects of the role.
Pay & Benefits
Gross Weekly Pay
Mon–Fri (60 hrs incl. nights out)£1,050
Mon–Sat (incl. nights out)£1,250
- Weekly pay every Friday
- 4-weekly bonus of £440.00 for attendance & performance
