We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Night Driver to join our Newport-based operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver seeking regular night work, modern vehicle, and a stable, long-term position.
Shift Pattern
- Monday-Thursday 06:00-18:00
- Friday 06:00-16:00
- Permanent, full-time role
The Role
As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for carrying our general haulage collections & deliveries, ensuring freight is transported safely, efficiently, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing general haulage deliveries and collections using a curtain sider trailer and sometimes a flatbed trailer.
- Conducting daily vehicle safety checks and reporting defects.
- Ensuring loads are secure and transported in accordance with legal requirements.
- Completing all relevant transport documentation accurately.
- Adhering to Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and company compliance procedures.
- Maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service.
- Keeping vehicles clean and presentable.
What We're Looking For
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous Class 1 experience.
- Counterbalance Forklift licence
- Good understanding of UK road networks and transport regulations.
- Reliable, professional, and safety-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
