JLR Diagnostic Technician
Location: Brighouse, West Yorkshire
Shift: Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00
Pay Rate: £22.00 per hour
Contract: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
We are currently recruiting for an experienced JLR Diagnostic Technician to join a busy automotive operation in Brighouse. This is a specialist role working on Jaguar Land Rover vehicles, carrying out advanced diagnostics, fault finding, repairs, and system updates to manufacturer standards.
The Role:
As a JLR Diagnostic Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing complex electrical, mechanical, and software faults
- Using JLR diagnostic systems, including TOPIx
- Carrying out advanced repairs on mechanical, electrical, hybrid, and EV systems
- Completing module programming, coding, and software updates
- Following JLR repair methods, technical bulletins, and manufacturer procedures
- Completing accurate job cards, diagnostic reports, and repair documentation
- Managing diagnostic workloads and prioritising repairs effectively
- Supporting and mentoring other technicians with technical queries
- Assisting with workshop audits, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
The Person:
- JLR accreditation or equivalent manufacturer Master Technician qualification
- Strong diagnostic experience across electrical, mechanical, and electronic vehicle systems
- Experience working with hybrid and EV systems
- High-voltage certification is highly desirable
- Previous experience using JLR diagnostic platforms such as TOPIx
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to support and mentor junior technicians
- Full UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of 2 years
