Elm Lodge is looking for an experienced Business Administrator to become the operational backbone of our nursing home. This is far more than a traditional admin role—you will play a key part in payroll, HR, finance, compliance, governance, data analysis and quality improvement, helping ensure our home remains efficient, compliant and inspection-ready.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing payroll administration, staff records and HR documentation
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and workforce compliance
- Producing reports, dashboards and performance data for management
- Taking professional meeting minutes and tracking actions to completion
- Supporting CQC compliance, audits and governance processes
- Managing resident billing, invoicing and financial administration
- Monitoring training compliance, staffing data and key performance indicators
- Working with digital systems, Excel, AI tools and reporting platforms
- Supporting facilities management, contractors and capital projects
What We're Looking For
- Experience in administration, business support or office management
- Payroll and HR administration experience
- Strong Excel, reporting and data analysis skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and confidential information
- Confident communicator with a proactive approach
Bonus Points If You Have
- Care home, healthcare or regulated industry experience
- Knowledge of CQC requirements and inspection processes
- Experience with Xero, payroll systems or workforce management software
- Experience using AI tools and digital automation to improve efficiency
