HGV Class 1 Drivers – Erith
Pay: Saturday and Sunday from £22.00 - £24.93

Our client, a leading high-street supermarket brand, is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (Cat C+E) Drivers to join their growing team in Erith.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering chilled and ambient goods to a large store network.
This is a 7-day, 24-hour operation, with all shift patterns and availability considered.
Shift Length: 10–15 hours
Requirements
- Proven Right to Work in the UK
- Valid Cat C+E (Class 1) licence
- Valid Driver CPC (DQC) and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 penalty points (No DR, DD, or CD endorsements)
- Minimum 6 months’ Class 1 driving experience
All candidates will be required to complete an on-site assessment, including:
- Driver theory assessment
- Yard manoeuvre assessment
- On-road driving assessment
Pay Rates
All breaks are paid.
Overtime applies after 45 hours worked per week.
Days (06:00–14:00)
- Standard: £22.00 per hour
Backs (14:00–22:00)
Nights (22:00–06:00)
- Standard: £24.93 per hour
Rates are applied based on hours worked within each rate band.
Example:
A 10:00 start finishing at 23:00 (13-hour shift) would be paid as:
- 4 hours at Day rate
- 8 hours at Back rate
- 1 hour at Night rate
