Job Summary
As a Home Care Assistant, you will provide essential support to individuals in their own homes, assisting with personal care, daily living tasks, companionship, and mobility. You’ll work closely with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure their well-being and comfort. We offer full TRAVEL TIME PAY at £12.71 and Milage pay at 35p per mile!! So the hours you spend working is paid!
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and the use of mobility aids
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if required
- Administer or prompt medication in line with care plans
- Perform light household duties such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Maintain accurate records of care provided
- Follow care plans and report any changes in the client's condition
- Comply with safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality policies
- Liaise with other care professionals as needed
Requirements
Essential:
- Right to work in the UK
- A caring, empathetic, and patient nature
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
- Ability to work Monday to Friday hours, including evenings and alternate weekends
Desirable:
- Previous experience in care (home care, domiciliary, or residential)
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
- Practical Training Certificates for Moving and Handling, Medication Administration and Basic Life Support.
Pay: £14.00-£16.10 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
