Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our financial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and supporting the organisation’s financial health. Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar programmes.
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, reports, and budgets to support decision-making processes.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of transactions.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures in accordance with organisational policies.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Contribute to the organisation’s financial management strategies by offering insights based on data analysis.
- Mentor junior staff members in best practices for financial record keeping and software utilisation.
Experience
- Proven experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft.
- Strong background in financial services and financial accounting principles.
- Experience in managing accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Familiarity with financial management practices within a corporate environment.
- Previous mentoring or supervisory experience is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all financial documentation. Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per month
