Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management and accounting practices, with the ability to mentor junior staff members. This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, as well as maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
Duties
- Preparation and timely completion of accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Regular communication with your clients.
- Mentor junior accountants, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance.
- Helping to modernise practices and migrate more clients to using software packages.
Skills
- Must have 5+ years experience in accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
- Good experience using the likes of Xero and QuickBooks.
- Strong knowledge of the UK tax system so as to provide excellent advice to clients.
- Excellent mentoring skills with a passion for developing others within the finance team.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Good written and spoken English.
