We are looking for friendly staff aged 18 and over to support young people with a range of disabilities on our Activity Scheme, taking place three days a week from our base in Farnborough, between 3rd August and 28th August 2026.
You will be supporting young people with disabilities and additional needs in an exciting programme of activities. Full training will be provided prior to the Scheme’s start.
Parity for Disability is a local charity with an excellent reputation for providing essential services and support to adults aged 18 and over with multiple disabilities across Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire.
Scheme workers:
- Sensitively meet the needs of each young person, including around:
- Assistance with eating and drinking
- Mobility
- Accessing hygiene facilities
- Administration of medication
- Support and empower young people to engage in activities of their choice at the base and out and about
- Plan suitable and varied activities in partnership with volunteers and the young people themselves
- Develop a positive relationship with the young people and their parents/carers/significant others
- Liaise with others linked to the Scheme
- Undertake additional training, as and when required
- Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of equipment and the Scheme base.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
