Role: Workshop Fitter – Bedford Preparation Centre MK45 2FN – 45 hours per week – Monday to Friday 7.30am – 5pm
About you:
Are you a determined individual with experience working with Plant Hire Machinery Industry? If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Plant Fitter to join our talented and highly respected team at our Longcross Plant Sales Preparation Centre.
You will be responsible for servicing and carrying out repairs on our large range of plant hire machinery (telehandlers, excavators, dumpers and rollers). You will be responsible for ensuring the equipment is safe and fit for sale by carrying out bespoke machine inspections and identify any defective parts or damaged components that require repairing to a high standard. You must ensure you keep accurate and comprehensive service and maintenance records.
About The Role:
- Inspect, diagnose and repair machines.
- Identify damaged or defective parts and carry out necessary repairs.
- Carry out servicing as per manufacture specifications.
- Carry out welding & fabrication repairs or modifications.
- Comply with company health, safety and environmental policies.
About You:
- NVQ in Plant maintenance (desirable).
- Experience of working with in the Plant Hire industry (desirable).
- Competent in driving and operating Plant Hire equipment (desirable).
- Be able to work as part of a small team as well as working independently.
- Ability to ensure all work is completed to a high standard.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Good mechanical knowledge of Plant Hire equipment.
- Clean UK Driving License.
- Have possession of your own tools (bespoke tools required supplied)
