The Role
We're looking for a Recovery Worker to support individuals through their rehabilitation journey. You'll work closely with residents, therapists, and partner agencies to ensure each person receives the tailored care they need to recover and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support and coordinate individual care plans
- Help service users register with GPs, access benefits, and attend appointments
- Facilitate and support recovery-focused group sessions
- Carry out health & safety checks, room inductions, and drug/alcohol testing
- Support life skills development (e.g. cooking, budgeting, cleaning)
- Liaise with external services to ensure a smooth transition after treatment
- Keep accurate records using our care management system
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Ability to work with vulnerable people in a supportive way, within Mental Health
- Experience in a residential, hostel, or care setting
- Strong communication and care coordination skills
- IT skills and confident with record keeping
- Familiarity with safeguarding and risk management
- Flexible approach to shift work (weekends)
- Desirable:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it)
- Interested in working within a therapy-based setting
- Experience working with addiction (e.g. gambling, drugs, alcohol)
- Group facilitation or therapeutic support skills

Based in Redditch, 35 hour week, shift rota between the hours of 8am and 8pm. Will include some weekend work.

Pay: £26,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
