Mobile Gas Engineer
Location: Mobile role covering London and the Home Counties

We are recruiting for a Mobile Gas Engineer to carry out commercial gas maintenance, repairs, fault finding and compliance work across a range of client sites.
This role would suit an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer, Mobile Gas Engineer, Gas Service Engineer or Heating Engineer who is confident working independently, travelling between sites and dealing directly with clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and inspecting commercial gas systems, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with current gas safety regulations.
Duties Will Include
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems.
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing boilers, heating systems and gas-powered equipment.
- Diagnosing faults quickly and carrying out effective repairs to minimise downtime.
- Completing gas safety inspections, checks and risk assessments.
- Ensuring all gas work is completed in line with current legislation and ACS competencies.
- Completing service reports, gas safety certification and job documentation accurately.
- Responding to service calls and emergency breakdowns where required.
- Liaising professionally with clients, site contacts and internal teams.
- Travelling between multiple client sites across London and the Home Counties.
- Using mobile devices or service systems to update jobs and reports.
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety, including correct use of PPE.
- Participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota as part of the role.
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer, Mobile Gas Engineer, Gas Service Engineer or similar.
- Experience carrying out commercial gas maintenance, servicing, inspections and fault diagnosis.
- Valid commercial gas qualifications and ACS certifications.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach with clients.
- Able to work independently and manage workload across multiple sites.
- Comfortable using mobile devices, job systems or service reporting software.
- Flexible approach to working hours and emergency call-out requirements.
Desirable Experience
- Additional gas qualifications or specialist commercial gas training.
- Experience working across London, the Home Counties or similar mobile service areas.
- Experience within building services, facilities management, commercial properties or mobile maintenance.
- Knowledge of commercial heating plant, boilers, plant rooms and associated systems.

- Able to travel to multiple client sites as required.

- Available for on-call emergency response when required.
- Able to work safely in practical site environments, including confined spaces where needed.
- Committed to maintaining technical knowledge and gas qualifications.
