We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie. /Senior CDP / Junior Sous (depending on experience) to join our culinary team. To be considered for this position you must have a demonstratable track record of delivering a variety of kitchen services to a high standard. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of menu's within a hotel environment, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. The role will also offer the opportunity to advance your skills and knowledge by exposing you to prep for our other menu's.
What we want...
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of menu's from bar menu to a-la-carte dinner as well as preparing food for various functions according to menu specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed, maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
- Manage ingredient stock levels, complete supply reconciliation sheets as needed, and minimise waste through efficient utilisation of stock.
- Work within a coherent and efficient team during service periods, to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service and accommodate special dietary requirements.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal functionality.
- Uphold organisational policies regarding health & safety procedures at all times.
What you'll need...
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment, ideally restaurant or hotel based.
- Ideally, experience and working knowledge of a fresh food environment, with the ability to "go through the gears" during service.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations, including HACCP certification preferred.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
