We are recruiting for Trainee or Qualified Bus Driver for The Harrogate Bus Company.
The Harrogate Bus Company part of Transdev Blazefield run over 500 buses from 9 bases across the North of England, enabling nearly 40 million journeys each year - all thanks to the commitment of our 1,400 colleagues. We create buses that people are proud to be seen on, and our aim is to make the bus integral to the towns and cities we serve.

Trainee Bus Driver
If you join us as a Trainee Bus Driver you will join our training scheme as a Bus Driver Apprentice! - don't worry, an apprenticeship is for anyone and everyone.
Your training will be completely free!
The apprenticeship takes between 8 - 10 months to complete, with regular classroom, on road and online sessions.
To take part in the apprenticeship you will need to complete the following:
- Complete your application - we look forward to seeing your CV
- Complete your face to face interview
- Complete full right to work check
- Complete drug and alcohol test
- Complete driving licence check - 6 points or less, no drink, drug, TT99 or mobile phone convictions
- Complete reference authorisation and reference selection form
- Complete the apprentice skillbuilder assessment at level 3
- Book medical to gain your provisional category D licence
What can we offer you?
- For the first 12 months you will be on an hourly rate of £14.28 per hour
- After 12 months you will be on an hourly rate of £16.28 per hour

What do we need from you?
- Have a category B licence (car) - if it is just automatic, that's fine!
- The ability to pass a D2/D4 medical
- The ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol test
- The right to work in the UK - without sponsorship
- Be 18 years old or over
- Believe in delivering exceptional customer service
- Enjoy meeting and interacting with people
Qualified Bus Driver

- Complete a pre-employment medical

What will you be up to?
- Ensure the vehicle is safe to drive completing a first use check
- Recognise and assist with the needs of our customers
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Board and alight passengers
- Advise passengers in terms of any information which may assist them
- Drive the bus in a safe and comfortable manner
