The Role
As a Children’s Support Worker, you will:
- Support children and young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), trauma-based behaviours, mental health needs, and learning disabilities
- Build positive and trusting relationships with young people
- Promote independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing
- Follow care plans and safeguarding procedures
- Encourage participation in education, activities, and daily routines
- Maintain accurate daily records and incident reports
- Assist with household duties, including cooking, cleaning, and supporting a safe home environment
- Act as a positive role model and mentor
Requirements
✔ Minimum 3 months’ experience in children’s residential care or supported accomodation
✔ Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
✔ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
✔ A compassionate, resilient, and reliable approach
✔ Ability to work flexibly across shifts
