The Governance Support Officer will support the effective operation of corporate governance across the organisation. The post-holder will provide high-quality administrative, analytical, and coordination support to governance processes including risk management, policy management, committee administration, and compliance reporting.
The post holder will s upport the development, monitoring, and reporting of the organisation’s governance and assurance frameworks. Assist in maintaining systems for risk management, including updating the risk register, tracking actions, and supporting risk reviews. Produce and format governance reports, dashboards, and briefing papers.
Provide high-quality secretarial support for governance-related committees and working groups.

To prepare agendas and paperwork for meetings. Ensuring they are produced in line with the agreed format and distributed as necessary.

Collate and quality-check papers; ensure timely distribution.

- To support the wider Governance and Business team with daily tasks such as facilities management, stock control, ordering, collating papers, meeting room set up etc
- Prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of governance processes
Support the coordination of the policy review cycle and ensure policies meet organisational standards.
Maintain the policy library and support teams in uploading, reviewing, and approving documents.
