Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Receptionist/Nurse to join our dental practice. This dual-role position involves providing excellent patient care, managing reception duties, and assisting with clinical procedures. The successful candidate will be an organised, communicative professional with a strong focus on patient comfort and efficient practice operations. Prior experience in nursing or dental reception is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Duties
- Greeting patients warmly and ensuring they feel comfortable throughout their visit
- Managing appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations efficiently
- Assisting dentists during clinical procedures by preparing instruments and materials
- Providing basic patient care, including post-treatment instructions and answering queries
- Maintaining accurate patient records using IT systems
- Handling administrative tasks such as billing, invoicing, and processing payments
- Ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of clinical areas in compliance with health and safety standards
- Communicating effectively with patients and team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Skills
- Strong patient care skills with a caring and professional attitude
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic nursing knowledge or experience is advantageous
- Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and appointment management
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients of diverse backgrounds
- Good organisational skills to maintain an orderly reception area and clinical workspace
