We are seeking a reliable Yard Operative to join our JMAC Hire & Sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the organisation and safety of our outdoor storage and work areas. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and have a keen eye for detail. The Yard Operative will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our yard, supporting logistics, and assisting with the movement of materials and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Following instructions for orders are picked and packed on time and accurately
- Loading & unloading customer orders for hire and sale
- Maintaining, monitoring, and adhering to the highest level of health safety & quality standards and policies
- Maintain and service Safety Decking components materials
- Correct and safe use of Yard equipment and tools (including pressure washers)
- Identify defective materials and following companies procedures.
- Maintaining good housekeeping
- Working alongside Yard Manager
- Developing good relationships with other operatives
Experience
- COTS / CSCS card must remain valid at all times during engagement
- A driving licence is preferable
- Health and Safety Awareness and the ability to identify hazards and controls
- Forklift / telehandler / counterbalance training preferred
