Job Summary
The White Horse Inn is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, maintaining exceptional standards of food safety, and inspiring a team of kitchen staff. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes served
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Develop and refine menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Train and mentor junior staff, promoting professional development and teamwork within the kitchen
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, including food safety standards and cleanliness protocols

Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Sound knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is essential
