We are seeking a Finance and Compliance Manager to play a key role in the ongoing success and smooth running of the business.
This is a varied, hands-on management role combining finance management, compliance, administration and operational support within a growing SME business.
The role requires both strategic oversight and practical day-to-day involvement and would suit someone who enjoys working across multiple areas of a business in a practical and flexible environment.
The Role
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Cashflow forecasting and company banking management
- Managing supplier payments and financial controls
- Oversight of Sage purchase ledger processes
- Supporting and covering key administration functions where required
- Managing business accreditations including ISO 9001, FORS, RISQS, SSIP and Constructionline
- Supporting business operations, administration and property management
- Liaising with accountants, insurers, banks and external suppliers
- Supporting directors with operational and strategic activities
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong finance/accounting experience
- Enjoys working in a varied SME environment
- Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Can manage multiple priorities independently
- Is practical, proactive and adaptable
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates integrity and professionalism when handling confidential financial and business information
- Enjoys taking ownership and improving systems and processes
- Is comfortable working across multiple areas of the business with a flexible, hands-on approach
Experience within construction, engineering or contracting environments would be advantageous.

Salary
£45,000 – £50,000 depending on experience
