The Role:
As Women's Academy Goalkeeping Coach, you will play a vital role in developing the next generation of elite goalkeepers within Manchester United Women's Academy. Working closely with players across the youth pathway, you will create an environment where every goalkeeper is challenged, supported and empowered to maximise their potential.
You'll plan, prepare and deliver high-quality goalkeeper coaching sessions and matchday support, ensuring every player receives tailored development in line with the club's coaching philosophy and 'Redprint'. Alongside delivering individual development plans and match feedback, you'll take responsibility for set-play preparation and reviews, support goalkeepers on dual registration, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary staff to provide a world-class player development experience.
This role requires flexibility to support training and fixtures throughout the week, including evenings and weekends, reflecting the dynamic nature of elite academy football.
The Person:
We're looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable coach who is passionate about developing young female goalkeepers both as players and people. You'll combine excellent technical coaching with strong interpersonal skills, creating positive relationships that inspire confidence, resilience and continuous improvement.
You'll bring:

Experience delivering high-quality goalkeeper coaching across a range of youth age groups.

Experience working with elite youth goalkeepers within a performance environment.

Strong knowledge of goalkeeping principles, set-play coaching and player development.

An understanding of the women's and girls' game.

The ability to motivate, challenge and inspire young female goalkeepers.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.

A proactive, resilient and adaptable approach, with a commitment to continuous professional development.

A strong understanding of safeguarding best practice and player welfare.

A Goalkeeping B Licence, Emergency First Aid in Football qualification and a valid Safeguarding Children certificate.

FA Youth Modules are desirable.
