Please note in regards to location this role will be based in Wales. Our Regional Headquarters are in Cardiff; You will be required to travel there at least once a week as well as visiting different areas throughout the whole of Wales.

We are recruiting for a Regional Children's Worker to provide practical knowledge, expertise and an example of children's ministry. Working to develop and present a children's work strategy to enable local corps (churches) and centres to raise leaders and children who are disciples of Jesus in our tradition of social change and justice. Our Regional Headquarters are in Cardiff; You will be required to travel there at least once a week as well as visiting different areas throughout the whole of Wales.
Key responsibilities include:

Equip and empower children's leaders to improve their communities and engage with children and the issues that affect them.

Enable children to experience 'Fullness of life with Jesus' in wider contexts. This could include leading residential events and opportunities as well as children's work in corps contexts.

Contribute to the planning and review process for the programs and activities across the department.

Work as a practitioner to support the growth of new local community outreach mission projects with children with little or no contact with the Christian faith, in areas of deprivation and need (at least 1 day a week)
To be successful in this role, you will have;

Excellent communication with strong interpersonal and organisational skills
-
A degree with a relevant children's work qualification and/or excellent knowledge and experience in child discipline, leadership and mission with children and their leaders.

Knowledge and practical experience of developing community children's outreach projects, e.g. children's clubs, mentoring programs in schools and creating outreach and discipline resources

Relevant technical skills, including project management, finance, stakeholder engagement, social media.

The ability to work flexibly including evenings, weekends, overnights and residential weeks as required.

Full UK driving licence
