Your Role
You will play a key role in bringing together Stockport’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme and wider school-aged childcare offer, helping to ensure families can easily access high-quality, inclusive provision.
Working closely with providers, schools and partners, you will coordinate day-to-day delivery, maintain accurate systems and data, and support effective programme delivery across the year. You will help ensure strong engagement from providers and families, contributing to high take-up and a consistent quality offer.
The role will also support monitoring, reporting and ongoing development of childcare provision, helping the Council meet its responsibilities around childcare sufficiency and national programme requirements.
About You
You will be highly organised, detail-focused and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You will:

Have strong coordination and administrative skills, with the ability to keep systems, data and processes accurate and up to date

Be confident working with a range of partners, including schools, providers and community organisations

Be able to interpret information and support reporting to inform service improvement

Have good communication skills and be able to build positive working relationships

Be proactive, flexible and solution-focused in response to changing needs

Experience of working with childcare, education or family services and an understanding of the challenges families face in accessing childcare would be an advantage.

We focus on ensuring families can easily navigate support, with a strong emphasis on inclusion, sufficiency and improving outcomes across the borough.
