Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Assistant to support the development and well-being of children within our educational environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, especially those with additional needs, and possess strong communication skills. Duties
- Assist in implementing educational activities tailored to children's developmental stages, including those with special needs or disabilities
- Support children's daily routines such as meal times, play sessions, and rest periods
- Provide personalised tutoring and behavioural support to promote learning and social skills
- Foster a safe and stimulating environment by maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the childcare area
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure consistent care and support
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and physical development
- Support toddlers with specialised care routines, including feeding, diapering, and gentle supervision during activities
- Observe and record children's progress to inform planning and share updates with parents or guardians
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is preferred
- Knowledge of special education principles and working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous
- Experience in teaching or tutoring young children to support their academic growth
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children of various ages and backgrounds
- Familiarity with toddler care routines and developmental milestones is desirable
- Passion for working with children and commitment to fostering an inclusive environment
