About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative and financial skills who can support the smooth running of our accounts function. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing invoicing, payroll administration, and credit control activities, ensuring accurate financial records and timely payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Raising and processing customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitoring outstanding accounts and proactively chasing overdue payments by phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Maintaining accurate records of customer payments and account activity.
- Assisting with payroll preparation and administration, ensuring employee records and timesheets are processed correctly.
- Reconciling payments and investigating discrepancies.
- Supporting month-end accounting processes and reporting requirements.
- Managing accounts-related queries from customers, suppliers, and employees.
- Maintaining organised financial records and documentation.
- Assisting with general administrative duties as required.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in an accounts administration, finance administration, or bookkeeping role.
- Experience with debt collection/credit control and customer account management.
- Knowledge of payroll administration processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience using accounting software Xero would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
