Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Supported Living Support Worker to join our team initially on a BANK basis.
The role does have potential to move to a more permanent contract in the future.
This role is essential in providing high-quality support to individuals in their own homes, ensuring they lead fulfilling and independent lives. The ideal candidate will have experience in care settings such as Mental Health, Learning Disability, Assisted Living, and will possess the skills necessary to assist individuals with various needs.
Duties
We're looking for energetic, enthusiastic and compassionate Support Workers who are willing to learn. For this role, you will need a keen drive to make a difference to the lives of the individuals we support. Your responsibilities will include:
- Helping the individuals we support to reach their potential and achieve to the best of their ability and goals
- Support the individuals to do daily living tasks, personal care while encouraging independence
- Support the individuals to plan activities such as going to the beach, theme parks, festivals, holidays, or simply being part of the local community
- Provide support, informal advocacy and information to the individuals we support
- Provide emotional and practical support to the individuals
- Accurately reporting and recording on our digital platform
- Mental support and companionship for people needing a little extra help
- Attend meetings where needed
This role is community based for individuals living within their own homes. Due to this, you will be required to hold a full UK driving license. Hours of work will be between Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, maybe required to work a weekend as and when required. You will be required to travel to the following locations Louth, Skegness, Mablethorpe, Horncastle and surrounding areas.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Mental Health, learning Disabilities, home care, or assisted living is highly desirable.
- Ability to drive is required for transporting clients as needed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
- Willingness to undergo training in medication administration and other relevant areas.
