Taking Teaching Further & Additional Incentives
If you’re making the move into further education teaching, you may be eligible for the Taking Teaching Further (TTF) programme a funded route to help industry professionals retrain as FE teachers.
In addition, for roles in high-need subjects or regions you may also benefit from the government’s targeted retention incentive (formerly “levelling-up premium”) payments, worth up to £6,000 for eligible teachers in their first five years and teaching certain shortage subjects.
Please note eligibility for both TTF and the Targeted Retention Incentive varies by role, subject area and provider, they do not apply to every vacancy.

About the Candidate
We are seeking full and part time GCSE English lecturers who are passionate about unlocking students’ potential, unafraid to innovate in their teaching, and driven to provide the best possible teaching and learning experiences for our GCSE resit students. The ideal candidates will inspire confidence and foster a growth mindset orientated learning environment.
The successful candidates will join our existing team and deliver GCSE English to our 16-18 study programme students, preparing them for their November and Summer GCSE exams and supporting them to make positive progress from their varying starting points.
Although experience of delivering GCSE English is desirable, we would also welcome applications from those who may have recently graduated and/or those who have industry or teaching experience in related disciplines.
About the Role
You will have the rewarding task of delivering English Language to vocational students who have not yet achieve a grade 4 within a school setting improving the life chances and opportunities of those young people. This is a great opportunity to work in an Ofsted rated Outstanding college, with state of the art facilities, including an immersive room to really enhance the learner experience
Role Responsibilities

Embrace and promote teaching and learning technologies and implement to enhance the student experience

Review course content and resources to ensure accuracy and relevance with both qualification and future industry trends.

To provide an excellent experience to students through exemplary learning, teaching and standards of assessment.

Develop and share subject pedagogy within and across teams to maintain currency and accuracy.

Preparation of effective formative and summative assessments including feedback to meet awarding organisation standards and student needs.
Qualification
-
Level 5 Diploma in Education and Teaching or equivalent, or a commitment to complete in the first 2 years.

Minimum Level 5 qualification in English related subject.

Minimum Level 2 Maths qualification.

Working collaboratively with students and colleagues to review student progress, supporting achievement of learning and personal development goal

Planning, developing and leading a programme taking into account all aspects of the learner journey.

Planning and delivering sessions that are safe, inclusive, stretching, and relevant to learners

Developing appropriate and fair assessment and providing constructive and timely feedback to support student achievement and progress.
