Location: Bristol – BS15
Hours: 10 hours per week (Eventual increase to 14 hours per week)
Rate of Pay: £12.85 per hour
We are looking for a reliable, personable Personal Assistant (PA) to support an adult man with a learning difficulty to live independently and enjoy an active life in his community.
The role is currently 10 hours per/week, with a strong potential to increase to 14 hours per/week. The current PA is hoping to retire and is happy to support a gradual handover, including training and transition support, as they know the client very well.

Support is mainly focused on:

Community access and social activities

Shopping and light domestic support

Attending hospital and GP appointments

Encouraging independence and confidence
The client has a strong interest in household DIY and property maintenance, enjoys walking, and likes visiting museums and other community venues.

Is a smoker (happy for the PA to be a smoker too)

Friendly, active, and enjoys getting out and about
Essential Requirements

Full UK driving licence (mileage may be reimbursed)

Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check

Reliable, patient, and supportive nature

Comfortable working in a smoking household
Previous experience as a PA or in support work is helpful but not essential – the right attitude and willingness to learn are most important.
