The Society is seeking to appoint 2 full time Mortgage Administration Officers to work in the Mortgage Department at our Head Office in Swansea.
These roles offer a competitive salary range of between £24,000 and £27,000 per annum plus sector benefits, depending on experience.
About us
Swansea Building Society is the only Building Society or Bank to have its Head Office located in South-West Wales. The Mortgage Department deals with all aspects of mortgage processing which range from issuing mortgage offer letters, dealing with solicitor queries, taking cases through to completion, ensuring that the Society’s security is registered at Land Registry, payment of procuration fees, dealing with arrears and forbearance customers and many other requirements necessary to ensure we comply with mortgage regulation.
The successful candidates will be required to work Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm and occasional Saturday mornings, 9am to 12pm, on a rota basis.
The first vacancy is in the new mortgage processing team. This team deals with all aspects of processing new mortgage lending once it has been approved by underwriting. This includes issuing mortgage offer letters, dealing with solicitors and taking cases through to completion.
The second vacancy is in the back-office team which includes dealing with and managing the society's arrears and forbearance customers, ensuring that the Society's security is registered at Land Registry and many other mortgage servicing requirements.
Previous experience in mortgage processing in a building society or bank environment is preferred although not essential, and we will consider other experience that applicants may have. A Level 3 qualification in Mortgage Advice and Practice (for example, CeMap) is required and we will allow successful candidates up to 12 months to obtain this qualification.
This is an opportunity to join a successful team where the work is both challenging and rewarding, and no 2 days are ever the same. If you believe you have the right skills and experience, please apply with your CV and a covering letter explaining why you think you are suitable for the role.
