The Addington Golf Club is seeking to recruit a Cook to assist with the food service in their traditional clubhouse spike bar.
Responsibilities and Duties
-In the absence of the Head Chef, run the kitchen and service the business as required.
-Help to ensure the smooth running and operation of the Kitchens on a day-to-day basis.
-Comply with and implement all Statutory Health & Safety and Food Hygiene standards.
-Assist the Head Chef with achieving a high quality of product and presentation.
-Ensure foodstuffs are used correctly so that wastage is kept to a minimum.
-Help meet relevant financial targets as agreed with the General Manager.
-As and when applicable ensure all advice notes, delivery notes and invoices for the Head Chef to liaise with the stock taker and the accounts department.
-Assist in the ordering of stock to ensure that the kitchen is adequately stocked with all necessary goods of the right quality and price.
-Help ensure stock rotation is followed and all storerooms, fridges and freezers are in order, temperature records are kept and food labelling is up to date.
-Ensure stock is secure and that wastage is kept to a minimum.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will have previous cooking experience in a professional kitchen.
