Join West London NHS Trust as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Dementia & Cognitive Health within the Older People’s Mental Health Service in Ealing. This exciting new post offers the opportunity to lead and shape a high-performing Cognitive Impairment and Dementia Service (CIDS), delivering high-quality, person-centred care to a diverse population. You will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, contribute to ongoing service transformation, and engage in teaching, research, and quality improvement. This role is ideal for a motivated clinician with vision and leadership skills who is committed to improving outcomes for patients with dementia and addressing health inequalities.
Provide senior clinical leadership in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with dementia, cognitive impairment and functional illness in older adults.
Lead on complex case discussions and deliver evidence-based care in line with NICE guidance.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and across services to ensure seamless, integrated care pathways.
Contribute to service development, clinical governance, quality improvement, and audit.
Supervise and support junior doctors, trainees, and other professionals, and contribute to teaching programmes.
Participate in the consultant on-call rota and fulfil Responsible Clinician duties where required.
Maintain high standards of professional practice including appraisal, CPD, and GMC revalidation.
